Psychotherapy
You’re going to experience loss. I say that plainly because it’s true — whether it’s a death, the breakdown of a relationship, or the slow anticipatory grief of watching someone you love or a pet decline.
Loss changes everything: your identity, your values, your worldview. You’re not the same person after loss — and there’s no “going back.” We name that honestly in therapy. I don’t sugarcoat, but I will walk beside you through it.
Who I Work With - Individuals grieving a death or relationship loss - People navigating anticipatory grief or existential crisis - Caregivers supporting someone with a terminal illness or decline - Couples impacted by loss or terminal diagnosis - Clients exploring spirituality, continuing bonds, or meaning after loss
How I Work - Relational + psychodynamic foundation - I draw from various modalities (CBT, ACT, Narrative) depending on what fits you - Sessions are spacious, direct, and grounded — we follow what’s real, not what’s expected
We might explore: - Grief and meaning - Caregiver identity and boundaries - Conversations about death - Dreamwork, signs, or spiritual connections - Planning rituals, legacies, and goodbyes
A Death Doula Lens
My work is also shaped by my experience as a death doula candidate. Even when I’m not in that formal role, I bring that lens into therapy.
This means I can help you with: - Understanding the dying process and what’s coming - Navigating the logistics and overwhelm around death - Talking through what matters most — spiritually, practically, relationally - Supporting advance care planning, vigil ideas, and bereavement care
In therapy, we explore emotional and spiritual readiness. In doula work, I might support vigils or rituals directly.
About Me - Registered Psychotherapist (RP) - 2nd generation Chinese Canadian - Experience in palliative care, hospice, and plant medicine integration - Comfortable naming death for what it is — and staying with you through it
Looking for Support? If you’re searching for: - Grief counselling in Toronto - Couples therapy after loss - Support through caregiving, dying, or spiritual grief
…Let’s talk. I work with individuals and couples in Toronto and the GTA, virtually or in person.
